Château de Chamirey's Mercurey is the flagship of the appellation. It covers 17 ha of the estate and is highly representative of its fruity, dense style. One of the particularities of the domaine is to wait for optimal ripeness before harvesting. The grapes are harvested by hand, then sorted and destemmed. 1990 is a vintage with great ageing potential. Domaine Jacob's Aloxe Corton, a full-bodied, generous wine, has a beautiful deep red color and aromas reminiscent of a spring garden, with red berries (raspberry, strawberry) and black berries (blackcurrant, blackberry) evolving with age towards jam and fruit brandy. Wine stored in a natural cellar. Shipment to Europe only with insurance.
