The Danish artist Aage Rasmussen made his breakthrough with a poster for the Danish state railways in the late 1930s. He was well respected and contracted to do a Maersk line poster in 1948 - Carriers of all the seas, which became their catch phrase at the time.
The poster shows the seven seas as its back ground to the new and modern cargo liner
