Glendronach which means "valley of brambles" in Gaelic, is a distillery founded in 1826 by a group of farmers led by James Allardice. It is located near the town of Huntley in the eastern part of the Highlands, one of the oldest distilleries in this area, among the first to obtain the license after the Excise Act of 1823. Since then it has been one of the most fascinating and traditional distilleries in the Scotland, a must for all lovers of whiskeys aged in sherry casks. All Glendronach spirits have an intense and robust character, perfect for long maturation in Sherry, Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks of which they are undisputed masters. After three years that seemed like an eternity, the wonderful 15 year old is back in production, which since 2018 has been called "Revival" as a sign of its important return to the main range of the distillery.
