Charambalos was a priest who spread the word of Christ in the Roman Empire and in the year 202 AD, at the respectable age of 113, was tortured and finally executed and martyred for his refusal to worship effigies of the Roman Gods. Many of the witnesses to his execution converted to Christianity on the spot, including some of his executioners, and they too were beheaded.
