"Folgore" ("lightning") is the name given to the Italian Army 's Paratroopers Brigade. It consists of three battalions of paratroopers (paracadutisti). The Folgore is one of three light infantry brigades of the Italian Army. Specializing in parachute operations, it is based in Tuscany, Veneto, and Lazio. Meanwhile, its sister brigade in the Division "Vittorio Veneto," the Airmobile Brigade Friuli, focuses on helicopter assault operations.
