【Product details】

This elegant set includes a letter box and a calligraphy paper box, both featuring an exterior design that highlights the natural wood grain. The letter box lid is adorned with a finely detailed carving of a shishi, a mythical lion-dog often associated with protection and power in Japanese culture.

The interior and base of both boxes are finished with black lacquer, adding a striking contrast to the natural wood grain. Over time, the boxes have developed a patina, along with signs of wear such as scratches, stains, lacquer chips, and green rust on the water dropper. Both lids exhibit some warping, preventing them from closing perfectly. Please refer to the photos for details on the condition.
