TRUE first 1912 edition of "Aesop's Fables" illustrated by this iconic illustrator Arthur Rackham with 13 colour plates and many beautiful in text and full page b/w plates. Internally a very good copy with only light signs of stains on margins, illustrations all present, colour illustrations with speaking tissue guards-lacking the tissue guard on the last colour plate- in original green cloth with gilt vignette and titles. Cloth with light wear around edges and corners with stains, shelfwear, spine with light wear a bit sunned. Illustrated endpapers. Rarity.
