Signed, Die Tödliche Doris - Artwork, Box Set, Postcard, Programme [limited edition] - 2018

A set of 17 postcards in a hand signed and limited edition box set from the 2018 performance: 'Materializations and Embodiments 1980 - 2018' by Wolfgang Müller, Chris Dreier und Julia Zinnbauer alias Ex Die Tödliche Doris.

The Westberlin post-punk band and art collective The Deadly Doris was founded in 1980 and has performed in various embodiments since then. Its founders were Wolfgang Müller and Nicolaus Utermöhlen and numerous people took part in the project taking on various rols: Tabea Blumenschein, Dagmar Dimitroff, Christine Dreier, Käthe Kruse, Dr. Motte, Valerie Blitz, David Steeves, the deaf activist Gunter Trube, the MERVE-publishers Heidi Paris and Peter Gente, a choir of about forty participants casted by TV and many more.

Doris is a popstar without body. Her presence is proven by permanent absence. Defined by her bodylessness, she lacks character, peronality, identity and style. Doris herself doesn’t think that is a problem. Through the imaginations of others, her characteristics develop gradually and also her body comes into being.
