Here we have a very nice condition Olympus M1 35mm film SLR camera. This is the early version of the OM-1, which Olympus had named the Olympus M-1. After a short production cycle, Leica demanded that the name be changed, as they felt it infringed on their branding of the M rangefinder series, including the M-1 Leica. Olympus complied and renamed the camera OM-1. The camera listed for auction is in excellent condition - it has been film tested and it's working. All of the shutter speeds work. The light meter doesn't work. The viewfinder has some dirt on the bottom. The Olympus M-1 cameras are very rare due to short production and very sought after by collectors.
