Oldtidens Egypt Faience Ushabtis (3) (Ingen reservasjonspris)

Ancient Egyptian Faience Ushabtis (3) Circa 664-332 BC - Late Period This interesting group comprises three faience mummiform ushabtis, each of a columnar body resting on a small base. The intricately detailed head displays a tripartite wig, a false beard, and the hands crossed at the chest, each holding a flail and a hoe. These symbolic tools represent agricultural tasks and emphasize the ushabti's role in agricultural labour in the afterlife. Ushabti figures served a ritualistic and symbolic purpose in funerary practices. They were small figurines placed in tombs to accompany the deceased in the afterlife and perform labour on their behalf.
