Mononoke Kyoto offisielle katalog med samlekort (katalogversjon) - Takashi Murakami (1962) - Japan - 2024

This is the official catalog of the "Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto" exhibition held at the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art. The exhibition showcased approximately 170 works, many of which were new creations by Takashi Murakami, and these masterpieces are featured in this catalog.

The catalog is bilingual, with text in both Japanese and English.

Included with the catalog is a "Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto Collectible Trading Card (Catalog Version)." Additionally, a shopping bag from the museum’s gift shop is also included.

Originally scheduled for release in June 2024, the publication of the catalog was delayed to late July 2024 to incorporate additional content, including photos of the exhibition, the opening ceremony, and the installation process of outdoor sculptures. The exclusive trading card was also added during this delay.

The catalog includes new works inspired by Kyoto and its history, such as "Rakuchu Rakugai-zu" and "Wind God and Thunder God Screens," as well as pieces from the "Korin" series and the "Four Gods" theme, including "Seiryu Kyoto." It also features works influenced by Japanese art, like "Golden Sky Summer Flower Field." The original painting of the congratulatory curtain created for the name succession performance of Ichikawa Danjuro XIII, titled "2020 Thirteenth Generation Ichikawa Danjuro Hakuen Eighteen Roles," is also included.



The collaborative work with Louis Vuitton, "Flower Parent and Child," which is displayed outside the museum during this exhibition, is also featured in the catalog, along with photos of the assembly process.

In addition to the exhibited works, the catalog introduces numerous art pieces that have inspired Murakami's creations.

Accompanied by commentary from the artist himself and a detailed message prepared for the exhibition, the catalog also contains numerous photos of the exhibition scenes, allowing those who cannot visit the exhibition to experience its atmosphere.
