Edward Walker (1879-1955) x2 - A Higgland loch and Industrial scene

I am offering for auction a superb pair of 20th century gouache paintings by listed artist Edward Walker, 1879-1955. One signed bottom right. One is of a Scottish loch scene using a palette knife, the other an impressive industrial scene. The paintings measure 39 x 28 cm. The frames are 54 x 44 and 56 x 46 cm. Condition of the paintings is good. Please view all photos for accurate condition. Ready to hang. Edward Walker studied at Bradford School of Art, 1895-1900 and the Royal College of Art, 1900-06. Between 1906 and 1908 he was Head of the Design Department at Sheffield Technical School of Art. From 1908 – 11 he was Head of the Art Department at London County Council Paddington Technical Institute. From 1911- 21 he was Director of Art at Cheltenham Ladies College, and in 1921 was appointed as Head of Scarborough School of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal Academy, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and the Royal Society of British Artists. Edward contributed work to the ‘Recording Britain’ collection in the V&A Museum – 1500 images of Britain recorded at the start of World War Two at a time of imminent change. Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only. Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve.
