The icon is in very good condition.
It is painted on wood measuring 30 x 20 x 2 cm.
On the icon of the Last Supper, you can see the image of one of the biblical stories that tells about the last days of the earthly life of Jesus Christ. On that day, the son of God called the apostles to the house, where he treated them to bread, a symbol of his body, and wine, which symbolized the blood of the Savior.
Like any other icon, it allows a person to focus, to devote himself completely to communion with God, to share with him his hidden thoughts and desires, joys and worries. And also get peace in the process of prayer.
In the church, at the royal doors, where the icon of the Last Supper hung, the parishioners asked her to help them join the Holy Gifts, to receive God's blessing.
The most important thing that this image prays for is the forgiveness of sins, which can be sought both in the temple and at home.
Looking at the icon of the Last Supper, you can literally feel the atmosphere of mystery and tranquility that reigned that evening. At the head of the table is the son of God, and the apostles are divided into groups. The eyes of those present are directed to Jesus Christ. No one understands that among the guests there is a traitor, because of whom the Savior will soon suffer terrible torment. The author depicts Judas sitting in an absurd position and holding a bag of silver. One of the striking elements is the betrayer's elbow leaning on the table, which no apostle did. Apostle Peter holds in his hand a knife pointed at Jesus Christ.
