The speaker could be used as either a shelf loudspeaker, mounted on the wall or else could be positioned on its own optional floor stand.
Its driver units comprised a good-sized 250mm woofer, a 125mm phase-link unit, a smaller 50mm mid-range driver as well as a 25mm tweeter.
The speaker was considered ‘neither here nor there’ as it was positioned between the S45 and the larger S75 having no particular Bang & Olufsen model with which to sensibly use it.

I didn't receive the advertised Beocenter 8500, but a Beocenter 8000 with a broken cassette player and without a remote but with a fake 8500 badge. Seller didn't return my money in full.
