Kanzan and Jitotu were legendary poet monks who lived during the Tang Dynasty in China, and their eccentric behavior that transcended the mundane was considered to be a ``wind madness.'' In Chinese Zen Buddhism, ``fukyo'' was considered important as a state of enlightenment, and the state of renunciation in Kanzan Jitoku was often depicted as a traditional painting theme in China and Japan, as it was related to Buddhism. This special feature considers the meaning expressed by Kanzan Jitoku in China and Japan, and asks how people have discovered its worldview. His name is Akiko. Born in Tokyo. He specialized in genre paintings, beauty paintings, and Buddhist paintings. Shinsui Ito became a student in 1908. In 1924, Akiko was the only one to create two of the 12 new prints, ``New Ukiyo-e Bijingo,'' which was a collaboration between 11 people including Terukata Ikeda, Shōen Ikeda, and Shima Seien.
