In December 1924, Marine Youth Association was formed by Navy Rear Admiral Kenzo Aburatani 油谷堅蔵, Navy Rear Admiral Takeshi Koyama 小山武, and Navy Colonel Michita Hara 原道太.
The group targets elementary through high school students, aiming to spread the skills necessary for life at sea and to cultivate social morality through group living.
This hat is the same design as the Navy's Sailor hat.
The name portion on the back of the hat has been erased in black.
It is old but well preserved. Please see photos.
