Jeep - CJ 3b - 1975

HISTORY/OVERVIEW Classic car with CRS-ASI certification. Two previous owners. Car registered as a truck. Always kept in Italy. The Jeep CJ-3B was manufactured in Saragossa, Spain, by the Spanish company Viasa (vehículos industriales y agrícolas, S. A) which had been licensed to build by Kaiser Willys. The sign in the photos bears the name of CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliares de Ferrocarriles), the owner of the Viasa brand. EXTERIOR Body without any noticeable scratches, in very good condition. Minor signs of rust on metal parts. The car has never been parked for an extended period of time. Possibility to remove the hardtop which is supplied with the car. INTERIOR Interior in good condition. Seats with protective covers when the car is used without a hardtop. Stickers to indicate the function of each button. Windscreen wipers added. As the previous owner used the car exclusively in the mountains, an electric heater was fitted to heat the interior in winter. MECHANICS Overhaul and servicing carried out. Work carried out in 2022/2023: engine oil change. Front and rear brakes replaced. Air filter change, oil filter change, diesel filter change. Electrical system and handbrake cable restored. Everything works except the odometer and tank float. Always maintained in excellent condition by my trusted mechanic with regular checks. Equipped with two gearboxes: a classic manual and a gearbox with reduced gears to negotiate steep climbs. As with any vintage car, it leaks a little oil when it is switched off, so I recommend leaving a cardboard box under the car when it is parked in the garage. DOCUMENTATION Includes Italian papers. ------------ We recommend that you view the car before making an offer to avoid disappointment. The car can be viewed and collected in Treviglio (BG), by appointment with Catawiki.
