Mr. Kaneko has a number of favorite objects for his prints; kimono's, Mount Fuji, trees, but also carp fish. For his carp prints, Mr. Kaneko went all out with his gold and black backgrounds. As far as I know, there is only one print in which he chose to display the carp on a blue (water) background; Whisper Whisper 10. The blue background gives a more natural and peaceful appearance. I mean, I never saw fish swimming in gold. You will never grow tired of this one-of-a-kind print.
This print has never been framed and have always been stored in a dark place. It is in excellent condition.
