Rolling Stones – Hackney Diamonds (Special Japan Box & Shop Poster Release) Hackney Diamonds is a studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released on October 20, 2023 by Polydor. It is the first album of original Rolling Stones material since 2005's A Bigger Bang and the first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, who contributed to some tracks in 2019. Produced by Andrew Watt, it features guest contributions from Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman. Hackney Diamonds received positive reviews, with some critics calling it the band's strongest album in decades. It was promoted by the singles "Angry", "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" and "Mess It Up". Marketing efforts included advertising campaigns, merchandising, such as worldwide pop-up promotions in fashion retailers, and cross-promotion with several sports teams. Hackney Diamonds reached number one in 20 countries, including the UK, Austria, Australia, Greece, the Netherlands and Germany. It was the Rolling Stones' 14th album to reach the top of the UK album charts in its first week and again on December 22. It was certified gold in several countries and platinum in Austria, France and Germany.
