Up for auction is this FINE condition signed limited edition of JG Ballard's autobiography 'Miracles of Life - Shanghai to Shepperton' - complete with its original presentational slipcase.

This special limited edition print run was restricted to just 1,000 copies - and this is number 570 of 1,000, signed by JG Ballard himself (who died not long afterwards in 2009.

Ballard was the prolific author behind the likes of Empire of The Sun, and Crash - both of which were turned into films.

Miracles of Life' opens and closes in Shanghai, the city where J.G.Ballard was born, and where he spent the most of the Second World War interned with his family in a Japanese concentration camp.

This book presents in absolutely superb, brand new condition. The pages still feel stiff and I believe it to be unread. It still retains that 'new book pages' smell.

There are no imperfections at all - it's a stunningly preserved book.

Obviously, as one of just 1,000 copies, this is a rare book, and rarely found in this condition.
