But instead of a monster, Zephyr, god of the west wind, gently carried Psyche to a heavenly meadow where she met her prophesied partner, the young god Cupid. This is the moment Bouguereau has captured—Psyche, overcome with relief, swept off to her new life.

I’m sorry you feel this was it was CLEARLY stated that this oil painting was after the said artist. THERE WAS NO MISTAKING WRITTEN ON THE BACK WAS AFTER KRUSEMAN. The photo was included of this fact. The painting was sold as the description and excepted by the experts on Catawiki.
