A beautiful entry in A & C Black's classic travel titles, this one with 96 illustrations
The book is beautifully and colourfully illustrated with coloured frontispiece, 64 Photographs and 32 fine colour plates from Paintings by E.W. Christmas'. Folding map of Argentina to rear. Text by Koebel, who was a British businessman who travelled extensively in and wrote on many South American & Caribbean countries.
Published by Adam and Charles Black, London, 1914. Publisher’s original full brown cloth decorated in black, sky blue & yellow, gilt titling to upper cover and spine. Top page edges gilt.
Book Dimensions: 26 x 17 x 5 cm and Number of Pages: 465 including index + 2 pages ads.
Condition
External covers in nice shape, with light wear to corners, and minor rubbing to head and foot of spine. Internally the book is in very good condition. A name and date with neat ink on top inside front cover page. First blank page appears missing. Pages are clean, and unmarked. Inner hinges is very good, and pages are tightly held at gutters. The attractive illustrations make this a truly beautiful title (Please see pictures).
