This is a beautiful Chinese wood jewellery chest with a brass medallion and an ornate etched handle on top.
This is a vintage from around 1970 probably made of redwood. It is a large and heavy chest.
The chest is also a music box, that works perfectly well when the bottom drawer is open.
It plays For Elise by Beethoven.
This lovely chest is decorated with etched brass and pale green carved jade and it sits on four raised feet.
The interior of the box has three drawers with delicate brass leaf-like handles and they are lined with red silk brocade with gold flowers.
The interior is very clean.
One of the drawers has ring holders and another larger space for other pieces of jewellery.
The other drawer can accommodate larger items of jewellery.
The forth exterior bottom drawer also has a hidden compartment underneath.
The handle at the top, which can be used to carry the chest, sits on a central medallion with an ornate etched design. The handles on the front have delicate details and are shaped as two artemesia leaves.
The chest is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age.
