John Martin; Historical, landscape painter, mezzotinter and etcher; typically of visionary biblical work. Gave ten proofs of his large biblical subjects to the British Museum in 1833, which J T Smith valued at £101 18s according to the prices at which they were being sold.
Leopold Charles Martin and Charles Martin were his sons.

Condition is good. The blacks are black. Pin sized hole in the rushes an inch to the right of Moses.
