Lofthouse 8 years old - Rum Venezuela - 70cl - 3 flessen

The exclusive and limited bottling of the Loft House brand is an 8-year matured rum from the North-Eastern region of Veniuela. The rum matures in oak ex-bourbon barrels.

The sugar cane from which this rum is made grows between the Northern Andes Mountains, the Orinoco Basin and the Caribbean Sea.

The rum has matured in the tropical Veniolan climate. Due to the high temperatures and humidity, a relatively large amount of liquor evaporates from the wood grain of the oak barrel. This phenomenon is called Angel Share. Share the rum with the angels in heaven. In very warm periods, the loss can be up to 10% per year! However, this is a good thing, because it ripens the rum up to 3 times faster than, for example, a Scotch whisky. All this creates a beautiful rum with a very nice full taste and long aftertaste.

Nose and taste
On the nose notes of caramel, vanilla and freshly roasted coffee. The texture is silky and full. The aftertaste is long and complex; the soft flavors of honey, dark chocolate and sherry are followed by notes of oak such as very light smoke and a tingle of black pepper.
