Fascinating lot of French/Belgian cookbooks from the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. Very interesting for chefs and foodies. Due to age they all have wear and tear. Take a look at the photos for the condition of the books.

.) Beautiful 12th edition of L'Économie Culinaire by the famous Belgian chef Philippe Cauderlier. Published by Maison d'Editions et d'Impressions (Ad. Hoste). Undated. Book cover, back and spine have wear and tear due to age and some damage (especially the edges). Title and author of the book faded on the spine. The number 10 is written on the first page. Faint unreadable note in pencil on second page. Pages have foxing, but are in very good and clean condition for their age. Fold out pages with illustrations have some stains and a tear. Nice copy of this classic cookbook.

.) 600 Bonnes Recettes de Cuisine Bourgeoise by Pierre-Jacques Solandré published by Librarie Garnier Frères in Paris in 1928. Due to age front, back and spine have wear and tear and some damage (especially the edges). The label with the author and title on the spine misses a part. On the first grey page seems to have been written something on the top right corner of the page, but it's illegible. Pages 297-298 have a small tear. A few ticks in pencil next to the title of recipes. Pages have some foxing around the edges, but are in very good and clean condition.

.) La Cuisine et la Patisserie Bourgeoises by chef Jean De Gouy published in 1895. Beautifully illustrated throughout. Cover, back and spine have wear and tear, some stains and damage around the edges. Front and cover are still attached to the book, but the binding is showing its age. Faint handwritten note in pencil on one of the first pages. Handwritten notes in pen on the title page. Also a tear at the top of the title page. Due to age the pages have foxing.

.) La Bonne Cuisine de Mme E. Saint-Ange published by Librairie Larrouse in Paris (copyright 1929, but probably published in the 1930s). Illustrated. Cover, back and spine have wear and tear, some stains and a little bit of damage. Gold lettering on the front and spine have faded in some parts. Spine has creases. Handwritten note in pen (Pérenchies - Juillet 1938) on the first page. Front cover and back are still attached to the book, but due to wear they're getting more and more unstuck. Pages have slight foxing and a very limited amount of stains, but they are generally in very good and clean condition.

.) Le Manuel du Restaurateur - Résumé de Cuisine courante by H. Heyraud published by Ernest Flammarion (Paris) most likely in 1932. Cover, spine and back have stains, wear and tear and some damage. The book cover and back seem to have gotten unstuck and was (unprofessionally) reattached with transparent adhesive tape to the first and last page. The pages have (severe) foxing and plenty of stains.
