As is well known, the core of Akai's GX Head is made of crystal ferrite,and well-known is the Focused Field technique.
This focused field system eliminates undue equalization, minimizes high frequency loss, and achieves a wider dynamic range.
This model employs a 3 motor drive system with a new CPG (centre pole generated) AC Servo Motor for direct capstan drive. The quality of this outstanding motor plus the elimination of rubber belts and flywheels results in the realization of a 0.06% Wow and Flutter factor.
Comes with AKAI metal reels,MAXELL tape and original AKAI NAB's!Recordings are made on this machine, from a radio broadcast;however,for best results it is adviseable to use (brand)new tape.
Take a good look at the pictures- some minor scratches are (barely) visible near the reel tables and right tape guide.
