This is a Suzuki No. 230 model mandolin, crafted in 1969 by the esteemed Suzuki Violin Co., based in Nagoya, Japan. Featuring a teardrop-shaped body, the mandolin is made with high-quality materials, showcasing a beautifully carved bowl-back design that provides a rich and resonant sound. The headstock includes slotted tuners, all of which are fully functional and turn smoothly.
The instrument is in good condition, with only a few minor scratches on the back, as depicted in the photos. The original hard case is included. The hard case has a lock, and a key is also included. Five strings are included, but as labeled "Made in West Germany," they are very old, so it is uncertain whether they are still usable.
