The lot consists of:
2004 Avó Sabica
2008 Pera Manca Branco
2008 Monsaraz Premium
2009 Esporão Private Selection
2012 Quinta da Touriga-Chã

Avó Sabica 2004 is an Alentejo wine produced only in exceptional years, from grapes grown exclusively in a vineyard with poor granite soils. To plant it, it was necessary to use dynamite to remove rocky outcrops, and some of these stones were used to drain a watercourse. With a water table 3-4 meters deep, water conservation provides the vine with the water it needs to properly complete the entire vegetative cycle, especially ripening.
After the combined fermentation of the Trincadeira, Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet grapes in trunk-conical vats with strict temperature control, they age for about 14 months in new 225-liter French oak barrels and at least 3 years in the bottle in an air-conditioned chamber.
The first Avó Sabica produced was from the 2004 harvest. This wine had been completely sold out on the market for many years, a unique opportunity to purchase these bottles.
Pera Manca wine is an icon of the Alentejo and Portugal. This 2008 wine has been sold out in the cellar for a long time. Don't miss this unique opportunity.
Red composed of 85% Touriga Nacional and 15% Touriga Franca, aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. The positive surprise of the panel presents a less flashy and exuberant style than the 2011, but more delicate and refined, at least so far. It is more austere, with floral, mineral, spice and herbal notes (rockrose) accompanying the black fruits with a fresher profile. It has delicious acidity, very fine tannins and a persistent and more tapered finish, with touches of graphite and India ink. Alcohol 14.1%.
Red composed mainly of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês and Syrah, aged for 18 months in oak barrels and another 18 months in bottle. Similar to the mature style of the 2008, but with more power and strength. Structured and unctuous, it has firm tannins with a great texture and a persistent and full finish, with mineral, floral, tobacco and sweet spice touches. Alcohol 14%..
Monsaraz Primium 2008 was awarded by Decanter magazine, the best vintage of this wine.
