Chianti Classico DOCG MGN. 1.5 Liter - 2013 Lornano
100% Sangiovese. The 300m. high vineyards are situated around the village of Lornano in the Chianti Classico area. The soil consists of compact lime/clay and alluvial elements. The rows are in a south/southwest direction.

Production and Vinification: The manual harvest is usually in the first to last week of October. Completely destemmed grapes. Maceration (peel maceration) around 16-18 days under controlled temperature 26°C. After the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the aging continues in barrique (French oak) for 12 months. and 6 mos. in bottle for sale.

Taste note: Intense purple/red, crackling red fruit such as cherries/berries/blackberries and some vanilla, the fresh acids for Chianti Classico with a balanced tannin structure and an extremely refined, long aftertaste.

Drink 3 to 12 years after bottling. Combine with pastas with hare and/or tomatoes, meat roasts and soft cheeses.
