A Mathematical Theory of Spirit : Being An Attempt To Employ Certain Mathematical Principles In The Elucidation Of Some Metaphysical Problems.

Redgrove, Herbert Stanley.

1912 First Edition, London : William Rider & Son Ltd ...

pp: i-xiii, [14], 15-125. Text illustrations.

A very scarce work that is an attempt to rationalise the spirit realm using basic mathematical concepts with much emphasis on negatve and imaginary numbers.

Octavo sized volume in original publisher’s venetain-red cloth with black lettering on front and spine.

Condition: Very good+. Bright, clear cloth with neat, square corners and bump to head of spine; tight block, which means the book does open too wide without some resistance, [I wanted to preseve this quality while taking photos of this volume - hence the helpful props that show this]; final two leaves show a few light foxing spots, otherwise leaves are bright and clear. Previous owner name with address dated 1923 inked to front paste-down, and light foxing to lower and fore-edges. A very nice copy of this hard to find item.

Weight (with sturdy packaging): 700-1000g approx.
