He revolutionized his era by presenting exclusive Armagnacs from the Bas Armagnac and Ténarèze terroirs, aged to their natural, unreduced degree. This unique proprietary selection earned him a reputation at the finest tables in France and abroad.
Today, his son Philippe, representing the fourth generation of the Gélas family, has been running the company since the end of 2001. He perpetuates the innovative spirit of his forebears by introducing single-varietal Armagnacs, thus affirming Maison Gélas' difference: l'Armagnac Autrement....
