The Han Dynasty was an era of great economic, technological, cultural and social progress in China. Their society was ruled by an emperor who shared power with an official bureaucracy and a semi-feudal nobility.
Han dynasty society consisted of a period in ancient China between 200 B.C. and 200 B.C. c-220d. C., divided into the Western Han (206 BC-9 AD) and Eastern Han (25-220) periods.
The Han Chinese domesticated and ate chickens, mandarin ducks, geese, camels, cows, sheep, pigs, and dogs. Types of game animals included rabbits, sika deer, turtledoves, geese, owls, Chinese partridges, magpies, common pheasants and cranes, while fish and turtles were caught in streams and lakes.
The piece includes Thermoluminescence Test. QED LABORATORY - FRANCE
Condition: Earthy deposits on the surface.
Provenance: M. L. F. Private Collection, Madrid. Purchased from an antique dealer in Hong Kong.
