Male Songye Kifwebe mask. The mask is nicely patinated in white and dark colors. Well cut pretty beautiful bulging eyes and protruding mouth. Male masks have a crest that runs into the nose. A beautifully striking piece with a lot of expression. This one was probably worn on the forehead and has therefor no viewing holes.
The Kifwebe masks are given supernatural powers and also used to intimidate enemies.
