The Edition is devoted to the 35th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in the war of 1941-45, called the Great Patriotic War by the Soviet People. The set includes the most interesting and characteristic works of Soviet propaganda art of the period.
The satirical sheets, posters on heroic subjects and slogan-type posters reflect the harsh atmosphere of wartime. The set presents works by such masters as the Kukryniksy, Koretsky, Kokorekin, Viktor Ivanov, as well as posters by other artists.
The set is accompanied by an article outlining the history of the soviet poster during the war years.
24 posters, 60x90 cm each, most faithfully reproduce the originals.
All in perfect condition.
