Metallica – Master Of Puppets


-is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. It was the band's last album with bassist Cliff Burton, who died in a bus accident in Sweden during the album's promotional tour.

Designed by Metallica and Peter Mensch and painted by Don Brautigam, the album's artwork features a graveyard field of white crosses attached to strings, manipulated by two hands against an overcast, blood-red sky with a fiery orange glow on the horizon.

Master of Puppets peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and received critical acclaim, praising his music and political lyrics.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential metal albums of all time, it is considered the consolidation of the American thrash metal scene.
It was certified six times platinum by the RIAA in 2003 for shipping six million copies in the United States, later went six times platinum by Music Canada and platinum by the BPI.

In 2015, "Master of Puppets" became the first metal recording selected by the Library of Congress for inclusion in the National Recording Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
