Rare pair of Chinese export porcelain blue and white plates, dishes, or chargers, Kangxi period (1662-1722)
Each painted with a rabbit surrounded by blossoming peony and lotus to the centre, within a band of scrolling foliage and peony heads.
Beautiful and highly sought-after pattern.
Twelve years ago a similar pair, only three cm wider was sold at a major auction house for a very significant amount.

Condition:
Both plates have one consolidated hairline.
Plate #1: small one of 3 cm
Plate #2: 10 cm alongside the rim and a 1 cm wide point of perceptible restoration (on the back only)
These plates were intervened to a very high standard.
They are somehow “sticky” as it was very recent.
Nothing is visible.
