Ancient Egyptian Ceramic Ushabti Circa 664-332 BC - Late Period This ceramic ushabti is characterized by its typical mummiform representation, featuring a columnar body with a flaring base and hands held on the chest. The figurine is adorned with a tripartite wig and false beard. The ushabtis' inclusion in tombs was associated with the concept of the "Field of Reeds," an idealized afterlife in Egyptian mythology.
