Coppia di Fermalibri In Rame Cesellato, Sbalzato, Martellato e Smaltato risalente al periodo Arts & Craft Americano realizzati da Fred Brosi indicativamente intorno al 1927/33. I fermalibri hanno la cimasa arricciata verso l'interno che scende a volute ed al centro presente uno stemma smaltato. Il perimetro è tutto arrotondato, lavoro perimetrale di cesello con una stella al centro. Completamente martellati a mano. Nel retro sopra presente il Simbolo di una mano con un martello e la scritta "Made by Hands", simbolo utilizzato da Fred Brosi nel suo studio di San Francisco. "Made by hand" scritta che andava contro la produzione seriale e processi portati dall'industrializzazione di fine 800, comportamento tipico dell' Art & Crafts. Di eccezionale qualità e stile. Perfette condizioni, tracce di ossido di rame bianco minime (non è andato via lo smalto è l'ossido di rame che va via con un pò d'acqua ma è stato lasciato così per mantenere originalità). Brosi changed the company name to Ye Olde Copper Shoppe. It continued until 1922 when Brosi started Old Mission Kopper Kraft. It was in business until 1925. Brosi worked from his home from 1927 to 1933 and continued to use this mark. Some pieces made by Old Mission Kopper Kraft and Fred Brosi are marked with just the maker’s mark. Some are made with the maker’s mark and this arm and hammer mark. Others just have the arm and hammer mark."
