The Beatles “Please Please Me" 1st UK Press Mono Vinyl LP - in truly excellent condition Here we have the rare first pressing of Please Please Me LP, PMC 1202, Mono, on Parlephone with black and gold labels & Dick James Music credits. Angus McBean is shown in the bottom right hand corner of the cover with it moved to the right also signifying the first sleeve design. Matrix numbers EX 421-1N & EX 422-1N can be clearly seen in the photos. This is from my personal collection & I have used the international grading system to grade this as follows. Cover : Good ( at least) The front cover has some discolouration in the bottom right corner ( see photos) and a small tear to the flip back on the reverse side bottom Left corner ( see photos). Vinyl: The vinyl is graded much higher and is excellent as it retains its sheen and has only one or two hardly noticeable hairlines with no scuffing or scratches. This is truly an excellent copy. It is 60 years old and has been play tested as part of my collection on a high quality system. It retains its original inner sleeve and I’ve added a new poly lined inner and an outer protective sleeve. It will be posted in a record mailer with additional protection. Beatles fans will know this first pressing is one of the most sought after of all Beatles LPs and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good copies. It can only continue to increase in value.
