A deity bead talisman from the ancient Burmese, Samon Valley culture.
First millennium BC .
In good condition. It has been cleaned in a tumbler, so its surface is shiny and smooth, but the nice antique patina is preserved.
Original, ancient, hand forming, cutting, carving, boring and grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular, funnel shaped. Traces of use and age on its surface .
Purchased 1976 in Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market during a diplomatic mission in the region.
