Only 450 bottles produced in 2021. The large Bâtard-Montrachet vineyard, located at the foot of the iconic Montrachet hill, is considered one of the best terroirs for Chardonnay to produce complex and fragrant wines with exceptional aging potential. Each plot receives unique and meticulous care, in order to let the terroir and the grape variety naturally reveal their personality. In the winery, the berries are vinified with as few inputs as possible. Finally, the wine is aged on lees for 11 to 12 months in oak barrels before being bottled. In order not to mark the cuvée too much with woody aromas, the estate uses almost only used barrels. The elegant pale yellow color accompanied by brilliant reflections reveals an expressive nose marked by aromas of almonds and vanilla. The ample and round mouth offers gourmet aromas of brioche, leading to a delicate and mineral finish. This is a vintage that will reveal a superb aromatic palette after a few years of aging.
