The 1959 wine was fantastic for practically all Bordeaux wines, but certainly not least the wines from Sauternes. This '59 Chateau Doisy-Vedrines is a testimonial to that. Travel back in time 65 years with ease, and let yourself be taken away by the scents and flavors of caramel apple nose, cherries, nutty/hazelnut, dried apricot and a fabulous acidity.
The bottle is in good condition. The label has faded over time, but is still clearly legible. It has little loose nick on the side. The capsule sits securely around the neck of the bottle. The fill level is top shoulder.
