By the end of the 1990’s, Kaws is based in Tokyo and meets Hikaru Iwanaga, owner of the underground street-fashion shops “Bounty Hunter” - named after the Star Wars character. In 1997, Bounty Hunter created the first urban vinyl toy ever coming out of Japan: Kid Hunter (50% toy - 50% punk / All Other Toys Suck). Iwanaga introduced Kaws to the urban vinyl scene of Tokyo.
In 2008 Kaws released JPP in association with Medicom Toy. JPP being the mascot of Japanese Police, responds to the sweet name of Pipo Kun. The figure was released in two colourways, black and yellow, each in a very limited edition of 500 pieces. Here is the black version.
The item is in perfect condition, complete with original blister and packaging. On the box is the holographic authenticity seal. The box is in very good condition, but not perfect. Please refer to pictures for details about the dents.
