With a valuation of icon expert Mr Ulrich von Kulmer from Augsburg, Germany dating the icon between 1780-1830 and valuating it between 2000-2400 Euro. The Hodigitria Mother of God is dressed like a Byzantine Empress in purple and wears a crown, just like her son Jesus. The Virgin and Child are flanked by 6 winged cherubs. In the upper part God the Father blesses the scene and left and right Angels are visible carrying the passion instruments. The border of the icon is decorated with folkloristic patterns. A quite unusual icon with great charm. 38,5 x 33 cm.
