No reserve, startbid 1€! Exceptionally rare original lithographed poster with a design adapted after Alphonse Mucha’s print “Ivy”. Portraying American actress Henrietta Crosman, ca. 1908. It was printed by Strobridge, who also printed other posters for Mucha in the US, so that must be the link to this poster. Instead of the face in Ivy, the portrait of Crosman is slightly turned towards the viewer, making her recognizable. The poster clearly states “adapted from design by Mucha”, so Mucha will likely have approved the use of his design. Framed with plexiglass, size of the frame 87 x 64 cm, mat opening 63 x 45 cm. Condition: central image is very good, the borders show some cracking. No other copies are known to exist, so this could well be your only chance to acquire this work. Will be shipped carefully in a cardboard box.
