Edwin Samuel Hope, born in Australia in 1859 to Phillip and Emily Hope, was my distant cousin. Edwin was a successful artist and author who raised a family in Tottenham, England. Edwin S. Hope led an interesting life for 79 years. He was known for illustrating his own published articles, along with creating artwork for writers, including George Griffith, a popular British science fiction author, Olga Romanoff and others, including Boys Weekly in the United Kingdom.
