Legio X Gemina, also known as the Tenth Twin Legion, was a prominent unit in the Roman army, established by Julius Caesar in 58 BC. Distinguished by its emblem of a bull, the legion played a crucial role in Caesar's Gallic Wars and later in the civil war against Pompey. Under Augustus, the Tenth Legion was reconstituted as Legio X Gemina, serving with distinction in various campaigns throughout the empire, including in Hispania, Germania, and along the Danube frontier. Its legacy endures as one of Rome's most renowned and enduring military units.
