Beautiful terracotta votive tablet known as a Tsa-Tsa made during the Liao Dynasty circa 916 AD - 1125 AD in China. Sculpture depicts highly detailed Buddha sitting on flower with his two attendants closed in great looking triangle form. Votive tablets are unique religious artifacts which purpose was to serve as both an image of personal worship and a way of giving to increase the spiritual power of a temple. Tablets were buried or placed in relic chambers as a votive offering for religious purposes without the intention of recovery or use.
Good condition - intact, well-preserved, without any cracks or other significant defects, only slight scratches on front surface.
