The fedora has been worn one time by Michael Jackson himself at the rehearsals of the song Smooth Criminal, when he was in Belgium  Werchter in 1992 for the  Dangerous tour. 
The fedora was aquired when I got the chance to go backstage when I was 10 years old to see the performance. The actual fedora was given to me by Michael's costume designer Michael Bush.

In November 2012, I met Michael Bush again in Brussels (as you can see in the pictures) and asked him if he could authenticate the fedora as being genuine and coming from Michael Jackson himself.
Bush inspected the fedora for a couple of minutes to see if it was real. I of course mentioned that I had received this directly from him when Michael Jackson was here in Belgium for the Dangerous tour back in 1992.
He told me that this is indeed the real fedora of Michael Jackson and he has put his signature on it as proof of authenticity.
"To Kristof, love Michael Bush"

Inside the fedora is also the yellow tag : LARGE - WPL 5923 - 100% wool - Made in USA.

This is a great Michael Jackson collectors item, as there are not so many white fedoras out there!
